The Ask: Align Target’s brand assets with its long-term sustainability goals for an Accenture-sponsored business communication case competition.

The Insight: Food waste is a major barrier to environmental sustainability and Target’s goals, yet consumer perception around imperfect produce limits opportunities for sustainable retail innovation. Target's in-house brands and digital infrastructure offers untapped potential to address this challenge.

The Idea: Good & Gather Organic Misfits, a digitally integrated initiative to reduce waste by offering imperfect yet high-quality organic produce under one of Target’s private labels. 

We delivered our solution through a 42-slide standalone research deck and placed 2nd out of 96 teams.
